Minutes of the March 7th 2000 meeting:

The meeting started at 7:30 PM with President John Artuso in the Chair.  There were 22 members present.

The motion to accept the February minutes was forwarded by Bill Bohn and seconded by Frank Basso.

Treasurer Doug Ireland reported that at the first of the month we had (Edited) 45 paid up members for 2001.

John reminded everyone about the Mall Show that this Saturday March 10th, at Willow West Mall.  Set up will start at 8:30 AM and the show will run until 5:00 PM.  Several of the members have committed to bringing a variety of planes and simulators.  Frank Jaerschky has volunteered to make up the display signs and will also bring a few blanks on Saturday.

The club will hold a raffle at the April meeting.  Last year we had a heat gun, fuel pump, power panel, etc.  George and Geoff Gurr have volunteered to acquire the prizes for this year’s raffle.

George Gurr would also like to advise everyone of a Helicopter Symposium to be held on Sunday, March 18th at the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club in Heidelberg from 10 AM until 4 PM.  Admission is $10 and further information is available from Flite Craft (519) 742-7141 or http://members.home.net/flite-craft/ and click on Calendar of Events.

Rick Vidug gave the club a little talk about some of the tips he has picked up along the way.  He talked about making Futaba servo connections from old computer parts, home made decals from Coral Draw (he even gave out some free samples).  He also brought some unique building aids such as silicone sanding block from Dura Grit that will never ware out and a handy machinists square from Princess Auto.  Thanks a lot Rick!

An un-named, (Edited), member won the 50/50 draw.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:04 PM with a motion from Andrew Kautz, seconded by Ron List.
